Beach Trip and Snow Day!

I know, I know...how in the world can I keep up with Facebook but not my own blog. Well, I'm trying to get better and keep my priorities straight!

This past weekend, we had a break from school so we took off for Litchfield Beach with a few college friends. We had a great time catching up with Todd and Erin, Matt and Erin, and Cherie and Thomas. We took the babies and Luke got to meet sweet Miss Betsy for the first time. He was completely enthralled with her and played with her toys more than his own! It was so cold that we just decided to stay in all weekend and relax. We always have a great time with them and we were also celebrating Todd's birthday so we had a blast! Luke also took his first step at the beach! It was completely random and has only done it once since but it won't be long until he's really walking! How exciting!

A funny story...
On the way to Litchfield, Trey decided to take an alternate route so we didn't have to get on the interstate. Well, we stopped for supper in Summerville (yeah, I know...crazy way to get to Litchfield) and low and behold, I locked the keys in the car. So, I know you're wondering how I did it and it's a long story. Anyhow, I didn't know the keyless entry # (my bad again) so we had to call a locksmith. Not fun.

We got back home Monday afternoon and on today we had a snow day! It was a great day to be off, plus it gave me time to get all of the laundry done from the weekend! Ashley and Jack came by and we took the boys out in the snow! Luke had no clue what to think and kept hitting the snow with his mittens. They were so cute bundled up!

Our first snow!

Well, hopefully, I can post more on here. I'm also going to try to do better with the pictures and videos!

Luke's First Christmas

So sorry to not have posted in so long but we have had a busy time! I had knee surgery on Dec 19th and I'm recovering well. To be honest, it's hard to take it easy with an 11 month old crawling around!

We had a very busy Christmas and New Year's! Trey and I left the day before Christmas Eve and headed to Greenville for Christmas with my family. We had a great time and Santa even came to Nana and Pop's house! Of course, Santa was outdone a little by the grandparents this year but that's perfectly fine with him! It was so fun watching Luke unwrap his many, many toys from all of the family! He got into it a little more than I thought he would. He of course, loved the bows and paper but he loved his toys too! Nana and Pops got Luke a Red Ryder car that he loves along with a multitude of toys and even some diapers (yeah for mommy!). We spent Christmas Eve and part of Christmas day with my family in Greenville and then headed off to Union for Christmas with The Anthony's! Luke was definitley the center of attention and had a blast playing with his uncles, Aunt Ashley and Mima. He also got a multitude of toys from Gran and Papa Mok and the coolest chair with his name on it. He loves it and even sits in it at home to watch tv!

Overall, we had a great first Christmas with Luke! It did, however, take us 3 hours to unpack everything and find a place for it at our house! I can't believe how big he is getting. Time sure does fly by!

Here are some pictures from the holidays:
