On Wednesday we found out that my great Aunt Sarah had passed away from a battle with a mass on her lungs. She was 86 years old and lived a wonderful, full life. She was a light that always beamed and always had a smile on her face. She loved the Atlanta Braves and had a laugh what would make you crack up yourself! She never married but loved all of her nieces, nephew, and great nieces and nephews. I have a lot of fond memories of Aunt Sarah and in all honesty, she was like a grandmother to myself, Erik and cousin Johanna. It's sad to see her go but I know in my heart she is in a better place and she is rejoicing with the Lord. I am so glad she was here to meet Luke. She loved him so much and loved to see him. I hate that we weren't able to visit her more but when we did it was always so special. We went to Greenville on Friday for the funeral and although it was a sad time, it was very comforting to know she wasn't suffering anymore on this earth. She was a very loving woman who had such an innocence about her. She will be greatly missed. After the funeral, we all went to lunch at Liberty in downtown Greenville. As Trey said, it was very fitting, because it was right across the street from the church she was a member of and right behind the Greenville Drive baseball stadium. Two places, she loved the most!
I don't have many picutures of her and Luke because I didn't always have my camera with me but here is one that I found when Luke was about 4 months old.

Here is one of Sarah and Trey last Christmas. She had this one in her room.
